However, unlike the folding scraper which folds completely, the flex scraper only folds partially. The flex scraper needs just 1.5 metres to unfold its scraper arms again, so it only misses a small area of floor.<\/p>\n<p>JOZ supplies two types of flex scrapers; the standard flex scraper and the flex scraper with E-rubber.<\/p>\n<p>The flex scraper is fitted with a 4 cm wear-resistant rubber along the entire underside, making it very maintenance-friendly. The entire frame is at the top of the scraper, so there is no contact between the metal and the floor. The narrow main frame allows the scraper to open quickly, and both arms fold double during its return pass. Just like a standard flex scraper, a flex scraper with E-rubber has rubber along its entire underside, the difference being that E-rubber is used. This type of rubber was specially developed for sand barns and barns with more demanding conditions. The drum drive consists of a narrow, large-diameter drum that can be used in combination with rope, a plasticised cable or a stainless steel cable. A scraper system always requires two drive stations. One station winds the rope, while the other station unwinds it at the same time, so the system does not have to be under tension.<\/p>\n<p>The drum drive is available in a floor-mounted version (beyond the reach of the cows) or on a console which is installed inside or outside the barn. The drive is ideal for barns with long alleys and very intensive use.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Chain drive<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>JOZ chain installations are equipped with one drive station per system. One chain installation is suitable for one or two manure alleys, and depending on the situation, one or more scrapers can be used per alley. The chain drive can be used on a solid floor, slatted floor, rubber floor, or low-emission floor.<\/p>\n<p>The motor gear units are directly driven, without belts. The drive is placed on a vertical console with protective caps. We recommend using a fully automatic hydraulic tensioner for the best scraping results. This keeps the system correctly tensioned at all times, which means less wear and tear. Moreover, you will never be too late with tensioning.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Cable drive mechanism<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In addition to the drum drive mechanism (rope\/cable) and the chain drive mechanism, JOZ also supplies a cable scraping system which is propelled by a galvanised steel cable. The cable installation is equipped with one drive station per system, which pulls the cable back and forth. The system is driven by a drive roller.<\/p>\n<p>This drive can only be used with a slatted floor.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"small\">Correct tensioning<\/h2>\n<p>We recommend using a fully automatic hydraulic tensioner. This keeps the system correctly tensioned at all times, which in turn means less wear and tear.
