Jaimy Schneider connects logistics and departments at JOZ

Jaimy Schneider has been working as a logistics coordinator at JOZ for almost a year now. In his role, he forms the connecting link between sales, purchasing, the warehouse and production. No day is the same, and it is precisely this variety that makes his work so interesting. The connecting factor within logistics

In his role, Jaimy is involved daily in arranging transport for the shipment of robots and the associated spare parts. But his role goes beyond just organising shipments. He ensures that different departments continue to work together smoothly. “I’m actually a kind of spider in the web between sales, procurement, the warehouse and part of production,” he explains.

Energy from a dynamic working day

A typical working day for Jaimy often starts behind the computer, but can just as easily end in the warehouse. He begins by processing the previous day’s invoicing and then prints new orders that need to be picked during the day. When shipments are ready, he ensures transport is arranged and maintains contact with both customers and transport companies.

The work sometimes requires quick switching, and for Jaimy this is a major advantage. He enjoys pace and challenge. “I get energy from days when a lot is happening,” he says. “When everything comes together and you pull together as a team, you bring out the best in yourself and in the team. Those are the best working days for me.”

For Jaimy, it is important that at the end of the day there is calm and overview again. “It’s nice when there is dynamism, but ultimately you want everyone to go home feeling satisfied and at ease.”

Room to improve processes

In recent months, Jaimy has focused on automation within logistics. He saw opportunities to organise the process more efficiently and was given the space to work on this himself. We have now started with automatic shipments: the warehouse can register warehouse orders and arrange transport itself. Customers now also automatically receive their tracking & trace information and invoices.

Together with the Quality team, Jaimy initiated this improvement. A great example of how we continuously work on optimisation at JOZ and how employees are given the space to make a real impact with their own solutions.

Short lines and a family feeling

Jaimy deliberately chose JOZ when he was looking for work closer to home and experienced a good atmosphere among colleagues. From Hoorn, he wanted to spend more time with his family. He came across the vacancy via Indeed, and the connection was immediate.

What appeals to him most is the atmosphere. In contrast to previous large organisations, he experiences personal contact and a close-knit team spirit here. “We really want to do things for each other here,” he says. “That family feeling appealed to me immediately.”

He also values the room for his own input. Processes are not fully fixed, which leaves room to think along and propose improvements. It is precisely this combination of committed colleagues and room for initiative that gives him energy.

Continuing to grow within JOZ
