The most powerful manure robot for solid barn floors

Do you have an element floor, rubber floor, or another type of solid floor in your barn? And do you want to clean your barn floor automatically? The Barn-E PRO manure robot is suitable for almost all cubicle barns with solid floors.

The Barn-E PRO cleans effortlessly. Waiting areas and wide manure alleys also pose no problem for this new manure robot. The great thing is: the Barn-E PRO does not push manure forward but collects it. Manure is gathered using a push/slide bar. It is then lifted by a rotating intake and stored in the manure container. The robot then drives to the discharge point and empties the collected manure there.

If you don’t have a solid barn floor, the Nano manure robot is the perfect solution. This robot is specially developed for barns with other types of floors.

Specially developed for tough conditions

The Barn-E PRO manure robot is specifically designed for solid barn floors and heavy conditions. It effortlessly collects bedding materials such as straw, sawdust, and deep litter. The Barn-E PRO is even suitable for straw cut up to 6 cm long.

What makes the Barn-E PRO unique is that it is available in 2 variants. You can choose from the following push widths:

  • Push width 155 cm (standard)
  • Push width 185 cm (extra wide)

The robot is modularly built and has a large capacity for handling manure. Depending on the push width, the manure robot can carry up to 500 liters of manure. More technical specifications can be found under the ‘Technical’ tab.

Barn conditions

The Barn-E PRO is specially developed for solid barn floors. Therefore, the floor surface must be well connected and accessible for the manure robot to achieve a good cleaning result in the barn.

The type of barn floor, type of bedding, type of manure, and cleaning frequency directly influence the robot’s performance. Partially solid floors can be cleaned satisfactorily, provided the area is continuous.

Minimum headroom

The Barn-E PRO is 68 cm high. This allows it to easily pass under barn gates with a height of 70 cm. The cubicle edges must be at least 15 cm high without obstacles. For other side guides, a minimum height of 10 cm is required.

Optimal cow comfort

Both the design and material choices were made with optimal consideration for the cows in the barn. The robot’s push bar moves precisely along the cubicle edges. The robot itself keeps enough distance from the cubicle edges while driving, thanks to its unique design, so the cows are not disturbed.

Additionally, we deliberately chose a driving speed of 6.5 m/min. Cows notice the manure robot, can properly assess the object, and will move away if necessary.

Independent navigation

The manure robot drives autonomously through the barn. Its behavior is mainly determined by the route layout, the available space relative to the number of cows and obstacles in the barn.

You set an unlimited number of cleaning routes once. This way, you can schedule specific parts of the barn to be cleaned at specific times. For example, you can choose to clean the waiting area after milking. After a one-time installation, you don’t have to worry about it anymore. More information is available under ‘Operation’.

Charging the manure robot

The batteries are automatically charged at the charging station/discharge location. After each route, the robot returns to this discharge location where the collected manure is emptied and the batteries recharged. You can place this station out of the cows’ reach.

The manure robot is splash-proof, so it can discharge outside the barn. You can therefore choose a charging location outside the barn, preferably under a canopy.

Setting up routes

The Barn-E PRO manure robot uses transponder technology. This allows you to set an unlimited number of routes.
The transponders in the floor ensure the Barn-E PRO drives perfectly and extremely accurately through the barn.

To define routes, a new software system is used. JOZ SAM (Surface Area Management) creates an overview/map of the area to be driven. This map is then used in Sketch, where the routes are drawn. You can always adjust these routes yourself if needed.

JMS

The manure robot is connected to the JOZ Management System (JMS). This allows you to monitor the Barn-E PRO remotely 24/7. Your dealer can also view the robot’s status in real time. This provides great ease of operation and improves service quality.

If the Barn-E PRO stops due to an obstacle, JMS immediately sends you an SMS alert.

Comfort for your cows, animal well-being and hygiene are all inextricably linked. Each factor affects the other. That is why JOZ takes all of these aspects into account with every single solution. Cow comfort is an important economic parameter in livestock farming. Infectious hoof diseases, such as digital dermatitis, interdigital dermatitis and foot rot are caused by bacteria that occur in cattle manure.

Lameness can cause a lot of damage on cattle farms. This damage can be broken down into direct economic damage (the costs of treatment and non-delivery of milk from sick or treated cows) and indirect damage (lower milk production, decreased fertility and early disposal). That means that good hoof health not only contributes to animal welfare, but also makes it easier to conduct work activities at your company.
